The Small Code Making a Big Impact: PrintReleaf QR Codes Explained
This feature update is part of the newest PrintReleaf platform release, giving every PrintReleaf user account direct access to their own impact QR code.
Credibility, trust and proof matter more than promises when it comes to sustainability. That's exactly what a PrintReleaf QR code delivers: a small, scannable mark that connects anyone who sees it to real, verified environmental impact, right from the paper or packaging in their hands.
What the QR code does
Scan a PrintReleaf QR code and you're taken straight to that account's PrintReleaf profile, or, if the profile isn't public, to their Lifetime Certificate. Either way, the viewer sees measurable sustainability impact in real time. The code is optimized to print at a small size without losing scannability, so it fits neatly on packaging, letterhead, or marketing materials without demanding much space. It's designed to appear only on paper and fiber-based materials being offset through PrintReleaf, so every scan points to a genuine, verifiable commitment.

Built for both commercial print and managed print
This update brings QR code access to two audiences at once.
Commercial print and packaging customers can now generate and manage their own QR codes directly from their PrintReleaf dashboard. There's no need to route a request through a channel partner first. The code is available the moment it's needed, ready to drop into the files sent to print.
For Managed Print Services (MPS) customers, this is entirely new territory. QR code access hasn't existed for MPS accounts before now. Customers can generate their own code and link it to their PrintReleaf profile and certificates, opening a direct way to share environmental impact with their own stakeholders.
Either way, verified impact information lands directly in front of the people who matter most to each business, without a middle step.
Why this matters
A QR code puts proof directly on the paper or packaging itself. No certificate requests, no waiting on a partner, no digging through email threads. Anyone curious about the sustainability story behind that material can scan and see it instantly.
That immediacy also supports broader sustainability efforts. Organizations building ESG reports or client-facing sustainability communications can point to specific, documented impact with a single scan.
It's one more way PrintReleaf helps turn everyday paper and fiber-based materials into a visible part of a company's environmental story.
